Dave: It’s a Rocker! I’ll let Frank tell the rest…….
Frank: About two years ago I had the line , eye of the hurricane, but didn’t know what to do with it. Last year there was a huge problem where I work and they sent someone in to “fix” things but made matters worse. Then I thought wow, I feel like I’m in the eye of a hurricane, and so it was born. The “monster from the ocean” is actually the guy I mentioned earlier and the “back stabbin’ and fingerpointing” was the stuff going on at work. You listen to this song and you might think it was written about Hurricane Katrina, but the fact is we completed recording this song about two weeks before Katrina hit the Gulf Coast! Weird, huh? And how about Dave’s wailin’ guitar to open the song? Ya gotta love it!!!
lyrics
Eye Of The Hurricane
There’s a batlle goin’ on inside and out
Backstabbin’ fingerpointin, what’s it all about
Everyone’s to blame for losin’ their control
Now it seems they’ve dug themselves a hole
Standin’ in the eye of a hurricane
Nowhere to go, nowhere to turn
Wind’s picking up, soon it will be here
A monster from the ocean, better start to fear
Try to run for shelter but if you don’t succeed
The monster’s gonna get ya even if you plead
Standin’ in the eye of a hurricane
Nowhere to go, nowhere to turn
The sky opens up
Wind’s pickin’ up
As I look up
It’s here
Standin’, standin’, standin’ in the eye of a hurricane
In the eye of the hurricane, in the eye of the hurricane
Standin’, standin’, standin’ in the eye of a hurricane
In the eye of the hurricane, in the eye of the hurricane
