Eyes Of A Stranger

from Someday by Berglund & Bonafede

/

about

Dave: I came up with this tune 20 years ago (1986), I always liked movies and people that claim that they could see what happens in the future and through another persons eyes. I also thought of how haunting this could be, so I made the song a cry for help from an individual with such a “so called gift”, a life of torturous destiny if you will.
Frank: This was a great idea for a song that just hung around with Dave for 20 years. I’m glad we were finally able to do it and include it on our “Someday” album. The eerie music really gives the song it’s true character.

lyrics

Eyes Of A Stranger

Looking through eyes of a stranger
Knowing their lives are in danger
Caught up in a world of fear
The visions are all much too clear

I see a starving baby boy
Hunger is his only toy
And I don’t wanna see it anymore
I close my eyes but it just opens another door

Will this go on forever
Why do I see all this pain
Well if this is some sort of gift of life
Well I don’t wanna see it, I don’t wanna see it again

Terrorists I see your acts of war
Muggers and thieves and I don’t wanna see it anymore
My destiny is haunting me
Why must I see tragedy….
Through eyes of a stranger
