Hell In The Harbor

from Someday by Berglund & Bonafede

/

about

Dave: I had a tune I liked on the guitar and didn’t know what to do with it. I wanted to write a song about some dramatic event that happened in history and thought of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Frank added some great lines to this one. This song is one that makes me proud anyway I look at it.
Frank: This was an awesome idea! When I saw the opening verse Dave wrote the rest was easy. There’s actually another verse that we didn’t use because it would have made the song way too long.

lyrics

Hell in The Harbor

A December morning
When I first heard those planes
The bombs started falling
Falling down like rain
It came without warning
The damage was done
A day long attack
From the rising sun

Hell in the harbor
A theatre of pain
Battleship row
Oh what you’ve sustained
Arizona
The price that you paid
Hearing your cries from the grave

Attack on the Pearl
Who could have seen
Such evil intentions
And what it would mean
All over the world
Four years to come
We would not forget
Where hatred came from

Hell in the harbor
Hell in the harbor
Hell in the harbor
We are the home of the brave
.
