Dave: Yep, Frank was on vacation and I just couldn’t resist the addiction of music, so I came up with this tune while I was messin’ around on the guitar. I thought of all these talk shows that I’ve seen with all the same stupid stuff, women getting their hearts broke because they are attracted to the tough guy image. It may seem cool but is it really the thing you want in the long run? Who says nice guys finish last? Girls when will you learn?
Frank: This one is all Dave. I was away on vacation and when I came back he hands me a cd and says,”hey check this out what do you think?” What do I think? I think it’s AWESOME!!!!! Since then we redid the song and added a piano track.
lyrics
Why Do All The Good Girls Like The Tough Guys
I’ve been searchin’ high
And I’ve been searchin’ low
Lookin’ left and right
Just about everywhere I go
I see your pretty face and I wonder why
You’re with him
Can’t you read between his lines
If you really think he’s good for you
And he will be by your side
I will be there
To wipe all the tears you’ve cried
Why do all the good girls want the tough guys
When will they realize they’re no good for you
Why do all the good girls want the bad guys
Why they want to hear lies
Sayin’ they’ll be good to you
When will you learn that he’s just a waste of time
When your back is turned he’s got someone else on his mind
If you were mine I’d hold you close
If you were mine you’d always stay
Forever in my heart
You know that’s why I gotta say
If you really think he’s good for you
And he will be by your side
I will be there
To wipe all the tears you’ve cried
Why do all the good girls want the tough guys
When will they realize they’re no good for you
Why do all the good girls want the bad guys
Why they want to hear lies
Sayin’ they’ll be good to you
No matter what they say, no matter what they do
Just remember, I’ll be there, there for you, there for you
